Basically most Americans believe this is a riot rather than a protest. A protest is usually peaceful, it happens almost everyday around USA. But a riot is when rioters burn down buildings, robbery, and destroy everything they see. These people usually won’t receive any sympathy from Americans. Why this riot has gone up so fast is because this is during the coronavirus pandemic. Unemployment is high, many people are not working, and they have nothing to do, so they come out to destroy. That’s why Trump wanted to reopen the economy as early as possible. Whever economy slow down and economy go up, riots start to happen. It is not uncommon in democratic countries.

Although the looting creats a ostensible reason that they suffered from Coronavirus, it still involves in many unreasonable and inconsistent phenomenon such as they capriciously set ablaze or attacked press. I think this event is far more complicated than majorities conceive.
